When Notorious B.I.G famously said “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems” he obviously wasn’t talking about higher education. If you’re applying to BIMM, you’ll most definitely want to have your finances in order, which is why we’ve put together this handy guide to help you look after those pennies.
Course fees & Student Loans
You’ll be glad to hear that BIMM’s course fees are some of the most competitively priced in the UK. Average higher education fees currently sit at £9,188 per year, whereas our three-year undergraduate degree courses are priced at £7,650 for UK and EU students. That’s £1,600 less than many UK universities.
This also means student finance is available to eligible students for all BIMM undergraduate degree courses. Tuition Fee Loans from the Student Loans Company will cover the vast majority of your annual course fees for UK students, with additional Maintenance Loans available to eligible students requiring help with living costs.
- EU students may also be eligible for a student loan to cover tuition costs. Information on how to apply can be found at: direct.gov.uk/studentfinance (please select ‘students from other EU countries’). If you are an EU student applying to our UK colleges, see our update on Brexit.
- Students from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales should click on their country for appropriate student finance links.
Value for Money
BIMM has a strong position as a private institute offering academic excellence whose courses are fully validated by the University of Sussex. Plus, all of BIMM’s courses are supplemented with tons of inclusive features such as Masterclasses, Festivals, Work Experience at fantastic music industry organisations, BIMM Connect, BIMM Life, a dedicated A&R team, Commercial Performance Programme and a faculty of expert tutors who are still very much active within today’s fast-moving industry.
