Who are you listening to at the moment?
At the moment I’m listening to a lot of Kendrick Lamar, he’s super interesting as an artist and I love that he dropped the album “Untitled and Unmastered” exactly how the name suggests. I think he has such a raw and sometimes grappling effect with his lyrical and production choices.
What do you love about Brighton?
I love how bustling Brighton is. I love that from where I live if I walk north for 2 minutes I’m greeted by the space of the beach, or turn in any direction and I’m greeted by at least five people I know. When I’m wandering around about the lanes it can feel really tight nit and cosy, and when i wander from gig to gig it can feel huge, just by the vast amount of art that’s going on at one time.
Why Songwriting
It had to be Songwriting for me, I’ve always been handy with a pen, so a whole course dedicated to writing music sounded ideal. Plus there’s so much to be inspired about living in a town such as Brighton, I’m still trying to capture the buzz of the town in my songs.
