Here on the BIMM Blog we love showcasing our amazing students!

So, here’s Agne talking about her BIMM Brighton experience.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

Recently my playlist has been occupied by – Hole, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and of course Nirvana.  I love the edgy sound of grunge and the energy it carries – It’s hard to stay still when drums kicks in in “Breed” or you hear the power of Layne’s vocals in “Man in the box” , it just sweeps you away.

What do you love about Brighton?

Brighton is a very good place for creative people, especially musicians – there are loads of cool music venues around town, so there’s always something going on. It’s also one of the friendliest cities I’ve been to. Everyone can be themselves here, or to put it in other words – you can be as weird as you like, that’s cool.

Why Guitar?

I always wanted to study at BIMM, and it just happened that I could play guitar better than I could sing or play any other instrument, so I thought I would give it a try and it worked. The tutors are very experienced and I’ve learnt so much here, but the most important thing personally for me, is that because of BIMM I grew to love playing guitar, which I think is the most valuable thing I’ll take from it.
