Who are you listening to at the moment?
I’m always listening to old school hip-hop but more recently it’s people like Rapman, Ghetts, Sir Spyro and Dave.
I like music that literally paints a picture in your head – when you sit back and actually listen to the lyrics it’s like being in someone else’s shoes for 5 minutes.
What do you love about Manchester?
It’s such a diverse place to live and there’s something for everyone. With all the musical heritage and with artists I listen to regularly like Bugzy Malone, IAMDDB and Skittles having originated from Manchester, I can tell you first hand the music scene here is second to none.
We’re such a strong community as proved by the Arena Bombings and The Manchester Worker Bee represents us all perfectly. I love Manchester.
Why Event Management?
Originally, I was meant to go to Leeds to study Journalism but changing my mind last minute and applying through UCAS Extra was the best decision I’ve ever made. Staying close to home, working behind the scenes and bringing events together with people who are just as passionate as me proper puts a smile on my face.
I love what I’m studying and the opportunities I’ve received through BIMM are incredible. The connections here are insane and if you want a hands on, non-performance degree within the music industry this is definitely a course you should keep in mind! I’ve gained experience with companies such as Ground Control, The Warehouse Project, GoTo Live, Elrow, Thirty Pound Gentleman and have worked on festivals such as Liverpool Sound City, Manchester Psychedelic Festival, Lost Village and Tramlines since starting here in first year.
