Who are you listening to at the moment?
I went to Resident, the local record shop, recently. There, I’ve found this book on Jeff Buckley co-written by his manager Dave Lory twenty years after Jeff’s death. While reading the book, I’ve gotten obsessed with Jeff Buckley’s music. I love listening to his early works (mostly brilliant covers) on “Live at Sin-é”. Having only previously known his song Grace and cover of “Hallelujah”, I’ve been greatly enjoying discovering more of his music.
What do you love about Brighton?
I love how creative Brighton is. There is a certain energy to the place that I haven’t seen anywhere else yet. You can trust Brighton to come up with wacky events and traditions. I also adore the fact that any day of the week there is at least one grassroots venue gig going on in town. The music scene here is really something else.
Why Music Business?
I chose to study Music Business as it allows you to learn about the ins and outs of the music industry. As a musician, often, people expect you to be a performer but I personally find the business side of music more rewarding than performing to a crowd.
