Who are you listening to at the moment?
I’m currently listening to an upcoming producer/rapper named Arno Faraji. I’ve always been interested in finding that new fresh song that I can DJ sometimes or just show off to my friends. He has a song called called “things change” that really spoke to me (not sure why) , other than that “Crew” or “Spectrum” by Goldlink all day!
What do you love about Brighton?
I love the creativity. I love the types of people that flock to Brighton. I love how I can experience all different types of music cultures within a 30 minute walk. Hip-Hop on a Tuesday, spinning house music with my mates on Wednesday, checking out Sticky Mike’s on a Thursday (RIP to the greatest venue ever), and checking out Radidas blow away minds on a Saturday. I also adore the beach.
Why Music Business?
Luckily my sister graduated from the same course as I’m currently studying and told me to apply for BIMM. I had already been going around my town working as a resident DJ and event co-ordinator and thought it might be time I make the most out of my experiences. I’ve always been interested in finding new music and organising events and I felt like Music Business gave me the opportunity to really dive in and understand the ins and outs of the industry.
