Who are you listening to at the moment?
I listen to a lot of different music. I’m forever in love with What Wallis Bird, Frank Turner, Best Coast, Paramore and Bully are putting out!
I started up a blog recently called MNÁSOME which focuses on women in the music industry, so I’ve come across a lot of great music so far from that, namely Sylvan Esso, Vulpynes, HAWK, The Altered Hours and Montauk Hotel.
What Do You Love About Dublin?
I live in Dublin 8 which is an older part of the city, so I love its history – apparently there’s an old bomb shelter underneath the park around the corner from my house! A lot of a place’s charm can be lost with the development which is ongoing locally, but it seems the new fits in well with the old here. And, of course, the music scene is so vibrant in Dublin. There’s so much happening from amazing emerging acts like Vernon Jane and AE_Mak to collectives like SelfMade and a lot of great music photographers and writers/bloggers are based here too.
Why Vocals?
I’ve always been a singer! I started taking part in performance groups from the age of 3 and I’ve never wanted to do anything else. Singing is such a great form of expression and can be so much fun – especially when singing with others!
