Who are you listening to at the moment?

My music taste has been quite varied recently, especially with all the change that’s going on! I’m listening to two albums on constant loop recently: “On Hold” by Fenne Lily and “We Are Alone” by Breaking Benjamin. They are completely different genre-wise, but I get completely lost in both records every time. I love how well-written and produced these albums are, plus the songs work so well as a collective. I’m also listening to Jade Bird and Sam Fender. I know Lewis Capaldi’s record is going to make me cry all the tears as well!

What do you love about Bristol?

It’s hard to narrow it down to one thing specifically, but I love the atmosphere Bristol represents. There is always so much to do, and almost every night there is some sort of gig or event going on! I also love walking in the city at night and watching everyone come to life. I’ve never had that in my hometown, so I love being in a city which is constantly buzzing with excitement.

Why Songwriting?

Before coming to BIMM, I studied Vocals at college for 3 years. I loved it, but I knew I wanted to focus more on improving as a songwriter as well as meeting and collaborate with others. My favourite thing about the course is hearing everyone else’s music. I have been extremely fortunate to meet so many talented, smart and kind people through our lessons, and hearing everyone express themselves in so many different forms and genres is so beautiful and incredible to me. I hope to keep meeting and working with people I’ve met in BIMM for a very long time!
