Who are you listening to at the moment?
At the moment I am listening to a lot of new music thanks to Discovery playlists, mainly songs under that vague umbrella of ‘Folk Rock’. I am however still listening to a lot of my early influences such as Mark Knopfler, Bert Zansch and Jeff Buckley, as well as many contemporary European artists such as Aurora.
What do you love about Brighton?
I grew up very close to Brighton. It’s always been an exciting place with a lot going on and many interesting places and people. There’s really nowhere else like it.
Why Songwriting?
Before I joined this course, I was already writing a lot of songs, but I felt like I was missing something. My quality control of my own work wasn’t developed enough to ensure I was creating the best possible work in the most efficient way. As well as this, I wanted to learn professional skills and obtain industry knowledge to enable me to have a career in something that I love.
