This week Michael Hayes let’s us know all about his BIMM Brighton experience.
Who are you listening to at the moment?
I listen to bit of everything. Some days it’ll be Bach, Beethoven and Slayer and then other days it’ll be Richie Kotzen, Guthrie Govan and Frank Zappa. Recently I have started listening to a lot of movie and musical soundtracks. At this very second though, I’m listening to Wild Honey by Hugh Laurie.
What do you love about Brighton?
The question is what don’t I love about Brighton! The city has so much creativity and diversity, there’s something new happening around every corner. I wake up everyday excited not knowing what the day will bring.
Why Guitar?
It just seemed right for me. I had the opportunity to study Maths, Chemistry, Physics or Drama but I thought I’d be better off doing something that I really loved instead of something I was just good at. So I did lots of research to try and find the best place to study guitar, I came along to a BIMM open day I knew it was the right place for me.
