Who are you listening to at the moment?
Recently I have been listening some great alternative R&B/neo-soul artists such as dvsn, Tom Misch and NAO. I was lucky enough to see UK artist NAO at this year’s Electric Picnic festival and she blew me away, the band were one of the tightest I’ve seen and her vocal was flawless. I have had her album “For All We Know” has been on repeat recently!
What do you love about Dublin?
I love Dublin because it’s great for musicians and music lovers! All of the venues are close to the city centre and there’s always a gig to go to. Being from rural Ireland I was worried that moving to Dublin might take a while to get used to, or that I might not suit living in the city but I love it, everything is easily accessible and there’s a really friendly atmosphere in the city.
Why Bass?
I’m currently in the 3rd year of the Commercial Modern Music course, studying bass. I chose this course as I deemed it the perfect fit for me. I wanted to be a full time student who would receive a level 8 degree and the idea that my tutors would people who have had success and who are still working in the industry was a major reason why I chose the course.
In addition to learning from your course content, tutorials and masterclasses I really appreciate the knowledge you obtain from being around full time musicians whether it be your tutors, fellow classmates or anyone in the common room.
