Who are you listening to at the moment?
For now, my listening is really focused on guitarists. I try to find the guitarists that most match my influences and analyse what they are doing. Hopefully from doing this I’ll be able to play a little bit differently and find my own voice through the guitar. “Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively”. I’m listening to guys like Julian Lage, Scott Henderson, John Scofield, Rotem Sivan, Jimmy Herring, and Stuart McCallum.
What do you love about London?
I love the possibilities here. I think London can offer opportunities that you’ve never thought of before.
Why Guitar?
I’m currently finishing my BMus in Performance. Although I consider myself a creative musician, I also aim to be a versatile and employable musician. In my opinion, the Performance course is a smart choice for this as you dig into almost every style and really focus on your techniques.
