Who are you listening to at the moment?

This is a tough one; I guess being a musician, you aspire to listen to many artists and many genres. My two favourite artists which have stayed with me for the last two years would have to be Lucy Rose and Bonobo – their music still makes me want to keep listening.

What do you love about Brighton?

There are so many things I love about Brighton, I guess what stood out to me the most was when I first stepped foot on Brightonian soil and was greeted by sunny skies and a man dressed in a silken multi-coloured suit walking down the promenade with a top hat and a walking stick, he said ‘top o’ the mornin’ to me and I’ve never really looked back. This place is so welcoming and full of so much culture and art, there’s not much you can’t love about Brighton.

Why Vocals?

I’ve been a singer for as long as I can remember and I always wanted to really hone my instrument, learn about it technically, emotionally, and physically. BIMM have definitely provided that opportunity for me and I feel so in-tune with my instrument that I can just flow through my music. Doing the Vocals course has really inspired me to follow my path as a solo artist which I’m so grateful to be pursuing.
