Describe your new track in three words….
Dark, ethereal and powerful.
What inspired you when writing this track?
When Jordan and I got to writing this track, we were inspired by this one line I had written: “hello morning sun, you are looking so good” which means to me that no matter how unhappy you are or how hopeless you feel, the sun will always come up. We then moved on to having this big choral idea throughout and it all just kind of happened from there.
Are there any artists that inspire you when writing?
The main song we were inspired by was ‘Venom’ by Little Simz with that driving ride throughout, it’s the way we wanted to take this track too.
What would you say makes your music unique?
My lyrical content and the darkness that they convey makes my music unique. I’m definitely not afraid of a little darkness.
Do you have a process you follow when writing a song?
We tend to approach writing tracks differently each time. Sometimes it’ll be triggered by a lyric or concept others it could be a track or sound that inspires us, honestly, it varies.
How has studying at BIMM helped you develop as an artist?
BIMM gave me a safe space to experiment and figure out who I wanted to be as an artist and what direction I wanted to take my sound.
What’s next for you?
What’s next for me? Well, you’ll have to wait and see!
