BIMM World Cup 2024: Who triumphed in Birmingham?

13th June 2024

At the beginning of June, students from across BIMM University and MetFilm School joined together for the annual BIMM World Cup.

Hosted this year at BIMM University’s Birmingham campus – home to BIMM Music Institute, Performers College, and Screen and Film School – 16 teams battled it out in a series of thrilling matches for the chance to take home the coveted BIMM World Cup trophy.

Ultimately, there could be only one winner and the day’s matches led to BIMM University Berlin defending their 2023 title.

Our Birmingham campus played host

Taking place at the Star City complex in the north of Birmingham, the BIMM World Cup represented more than a football tournament – it was the coming together of creatives from across the BIMM University community.

The early stages of the competition saw the 16 teams split into two groups. Over the course of the group stages, teams battled fiercely for a coveted spot in the quarter-finals. The excitement only intensified as the tournament progressed to the knockout rounds.

Ultimately, BIMM University Berlin were crowned the winners

Throughout the tournament, BIMM University Berlin displayed exceptional skill and teamwork. While they faced stiff competition, notably from fellow finalists Performers College Essex, their coordination and strategic play ultimately led them to a hard-fought victory. Their victory also saw them solidifying their status as BIMM World Cup reigning champions.

The BIMM World Cup 2024 will be remembered not only for the thrilling football action but also for bringing together diverse talents and fostering the bonds between the schools that form BIMM University.
