Twins Management

We caught up with Twins Management, BA3 Music Business Students from BIMM Manchester, to ask them about their management company!

When/Why was Twins Management started?

Twins Management was created in 2015 during our second year at BIMM Manchester. In this time we were already helping out Mister Twisted and a couple of mates bands so we decided to make it official and started a company. We wanted to be able to apply what we were learning at BIMM to real scenarios.

The name “Twins Management” came from people at university, as they always referred to us as “The Twins” so we decided to use the name people already had for us and attach it to the company.

What’s the aim?

Our aim is mainly to develop artists, distribute their music and grow their brand. Personal aims for us are that we want to build a fully functional company and help get our artists success.

Why these bands?

We first signed Mister Twisted in 2015 because we were friends with them and already could see what they might need help with as a band, from there we began to work with them as managers and then as the word spread the company grew.

The Navettes were signed in 2016 after they began to need help from an outside party in order to progress. We were also friends with the guys beforehand which was helpful as we already had a good relationship with them.

The bands we work with all have something unique to offer and do things a little differently to the bands around them.

Is Twins Management Genre Specific?

We base who we sign on their work ethic and how reliable they are, not by genre.  For example Mister Twisted are Indie/Reggae whereas The Navettes are Alternative Pop. We have a wide range of genres to keep things different for us and it is also less predictable on our behalf.

What can we look forward to at the showcase?

We have put our mark on the event by making it personal to us, there will be some ‘Twins’ themed elements we have incorporated.

This event is our opportunity to showcase not only the bands but ourselves too, a chance to get to know us and what we do.
