What difference has BIMM made to your career?

BIMM has provided me with a broad understanding of all aspects of the music industry, from Live Sound to Music Law and Artist Management – the list is endless. It has allowed me to get stuck into the areas that I enjoy and use these areas to my advantage when working towards Pro Project next year. I have also met numerous interesting people who work in the industry through BIMM which has been great for networking.

What inspires you to work in music?

Ultimately, live music events inspire me to work in music. The hard work that goes into putting on a show and making it happen is so inspiring. I love the fact that live music events and festivals bring people who have a common interest together and they also inspire others to pursue a career in music, whether that being practical or in management or events.

Do you have any advice for new and future students?

Throughout my time at BIMM I have learnt that you get back what you put in, in terms of hard work and effort. If you put yourself forward for opportunities and are always eager to go that extra mile, then you will receive the opportunities and connections that you work towards. I would say that you need to keep working hard and let your passion drive you to career success throughout your time at BIMM.
