If you’re going to pick anywhere in the world to explore different concepts with your music, it’s Berlin – and we’re honoured to host a wealth of talent here at BIMM Berlin. The music our students create crosses a huge number of genres, but this week, we’re presenting to you some of BIMM Berlin’s best experimental artists.
THE FAN
Psychedelic collective THE FAN bring their sleek electropop to the German capital. BIMM’s very own D Lorry Anne – alongside Max von Morgen – blurs the boundaries between art and composition in her most recent release. Expect Bowie-esque vibes and lots of glitter.
SKID
Producer Sacha Arnaud (who studies Guitar with us) gives a fresh take on alternative hip hop, combining free jazz and trip hop influences. Collaborating with rapper Lexodus, latest record ‘Money’ proves that SKID is one to keep an eye on.
Montag Mania
Featuring Songwriting students Isabel De Lescano and Fredrik Blank, Montag Mania’s blend of futurism, dance and ambient results in an avant-garde experimental melting pot. Be sure to listen to their new record, which should be released very soon. Watch this space!
G Λ V R I E L Λ
Despite being a fairly new artist, First Year Songwriting student Gabriela Palfinger Camacho’s ethereal dream-pop certainly stands to attention. The Peruvian-Austrian songstress perfectly balances the alternative and experimental – she’s definitely one to pay attention to. Watch the video here.

Please note: At least one member of these groups are BIMM Berlin students, but the others are talented artists from around the world
