Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Louise Udin and I’m 24 years old. I’m from Sweden but I’ve been living in London since 2013. I moved here to study at BIMM London and I graduated with a First Class Honours in BMus Popular Music Performance Vocals last year. I’m working on my original project LOUUD and I’m releasing a new single in May.
How did you get started?
I’ve been singing my whole life and I started writing songs when I was 12. I didn’t truly know what kind of music or what I wanted to do until I created my original project LOUUD 3 years ago.
Why did you choose BIMM London?
I had a friend from Sweden that studied at BIMM and she recommended it so I thought I’d give it a go. The idea of studying music in a music capital like London felt very exciting and I’ve never regretted my decision to move here.
What has been your highlight at BIMM?
The highlight of BIMM must be meeting my band and other friends that inspire me musically. Without BIMM bringing people from different countries and backgrounds together, we might have never met. Another great memory is all the gigs we played for BIMM, my favorite one being the Graduation Showcase at the O2 Forum last year.
What advice would you give to future students on your course?
Make the most of all the opportunities like masterclasses, gigs, networking events etc. It’s really great to have those opportunities given to you. Also make the most of trying different genres and collaborate with as many people as you can.
