MNÁSOME is a music blog run by BIMM Dublin vocal alumna Sinéad Furlong. The aim of MNÁSOME is to celebrate women in the Irish and international music industry and what better way to do it than to put on a gig! MNÁSOME LIVE will take place on Thursday the 13th of September in The Workman’s Club, Dublin. The line up will feature three up and coming acts, BIMM Dublin graduates, ELKAE and Baba and Ambi-Groove outfit, Dreaming of Jupiter.

ELKAE is the moniker of songwriter and musician Laura Keane, who has recently revamped her sound to form a unique take on electronic soul. After a busy summer, playing venues across Dublin and performances at festivals including Electric Picnic, ELKAE is set to release fresh new music this autumn.

Singer and songwriter, Baba performs enchanting dark soul. With her powerful vocals, onstage energy and extravagant costumes, Baba creates an alluring live show that’s impossible to turn away from. Her latest single ‘I, Defy’ is “pro-woman, pro-choice, pro-equality and pro-doing what the hell you feel like as long as you aren’t hurting anybody.” Listen to ‘I, Defy’ here.

R n’ B, Ambi-Groove outfit, Dreaming of Jupiter create an ambient, textured sound with a trip-hop influence that fills the room. Dreaming of Jupiter are set to release an EP in the coming months and you can get a taste of what’s to come with singles ‘Right Kind of Love’ & ‘Let Me Down’ here.

To see these awesome acts live, you can get pre sale tickets for just €7.50 from Eventbrite or €8 on the door for BIMM students with a valid student card.
