Mama Roux’s

Though it’s one of the newest in the city, Mama Roux’s is quickly becoming one of the best venues in Birmingham for catching the next big thing.

Despite only having been open for just over 12 months, Mama Roux’s has played host to a number of rapidly growing hype bands, with the likes of Honeyblood, Pulled Apart By Horses, Black Honey, Teleman and many more gracing the 300 capacity venue since it opened.

Owned by Rainbow Venues, Mama Roux’s is also one of the spaces used for Digbeth Dining Club on Friday & Saturday nights.

The venue itself is a rather unique space. The ground floor standing area – which serves a range of craft beers, ales and ciders – is draped by New Orleans’ style building facades, while there are two small balcony levels above. At the highest level of Mama Roux’s there is also a cocktail bar in the corner!

Promoters to work with Mama Roux’s mostly include Birmingham Promoters and Surprise, You’re Dead! Though we can imagine many more following suit in the not too distant future.

Mama Roux’s is hidden away from sight but is just a short walk from The Old Crown on Digbeth High Street, which is accessible by road, and a 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street and Moor Street train stations.
