BIMM Berlin’s Electronic Artists To Watch

6th June 2017

The electro capital of the globe, Berlin plays host to some of the greatest names in techno/electronica. At BIMM Berlin, we’re lucky enough to have a number of students whose records push the boundaries of this genre – and we’d like to introduce them to you.

MIN t

Songwriting student Martyna Kubicz is the brains behind MIN t – the neo-soul electronica outfit. Drawing influences from Bonobo and Nina Kraviz, this sometimes-trippy, sometimes-alternative lady isn’t afraid to experiment with her records. Martyna has made quite a name for herself and performed all over the world– undoubtedly due to her unexpected melodies, refreshing R&B grooves and energetic arrangements. Hear more on SoundCloud.

Eveline

Vocals student Lisa Kögler is one half of the electropop duo Eveline, whose success has snowballed over the past 12 months. With sharp vocals, tight harmonies and clean melodies, this indie-electronic outfit has already graced the stage of Berghain Kantine, and has supported Queen vocalist Adam Lambert. With a busy summer ahead of them, you’ll have plenty of chances to catch Eveline live over the next few months. Hear more on SoundCloud

J.D. Eliot

This experimental hip hop/electronica producer gives us unusual rhythmic textures and surprising harmonic structures – resulting in mellow beats perfect for summer evenings.
