What was the inspiration/is there a story behind your track?
The song is about being in a good relationship with a nice person, but the feelings aren’t there anymore. When the words have lost their meaning and you realise that it’s time to let go.
How did you write this song?
I wrote the chorus and parts of the verses three years ago. I then rewrote the lyrics, structure, chords, and melody earlier this year with some help from Marcus Östlund, who’s a Swedish songwriter and producer.
Do you have a favourite line/section of the song?
I would say that the chorus is my favourite section of the song.
”So happy hearted, so kind. This beautiful life made me blind.”
For me it means that sometimes, you lose the ability to see what’s right in front of you, when feelings change and life gets in the way.
Can you describe your sound in three words?
Harmonies, reverb and honesty.
How do you feel your sound has developed since you started studying songwriting at BIMM?
My sounds is pretty much the same as it was before I’ve started studying here. But I’ve learnt a lot more about theory, and the music industry, which I’m applying to my music and career.
What’s the best thing about studying at BIMM?
For me it’s the opportunity to meet, work and get inspired by all the talented people here at BIMM. Also, that we get to attend lots of great masterclasses.
