What was the inspiration/is there a story behind your track?

The inspiration behind this track came from a feeling that was so strong, quite common and draining for someone – it was something that had to be heard. The story behind my track is about being in a relationship however that relationship is more taking and less giving from your partner. It’s full of effort, love and affection from your side which is then taken for granted and not as appreciated or as deserved as it should be.

What did your process involve?

My process involved spending a whole day in the studio with my producer in the south of Spain (Marbella) – to record and release a song, it has to be perfect. The process of recording this track was broken down more than you could imagine; I had to record and sing a line of one verse at least 7 times in a row to be sure it sounded the exact way we wanted it to. As for the chorus, it was the same process except less work as the lyrics stay the same so we could use the same recording for the other chorus’s. I could go on forever in detail about the process as it was so much work. One thing is it’s not a difficult process – it takes a lot of time, effort, drive, passion and energy to accomplish your masterpiece but at the end is something that is fully worth the hard work. It is something I look back on and that I am very proud of.

Do you have a favourite line/section of the song?

My favourite section of the song would have to be the pre-chorus – ‘’From my point of view, you don’t know what you have and what’s in front of you, why won’t you make a move?’’ – as it states how you feel and that you want your partner to know what you’re feeling – they should do something about it kind of thing.

Can you describe your sound in three words?

R&B, Meaningful, Truthful
