What was the inspiration/is there a story behind your track?

Not really. Even I’m not 100% sure what the lyrics mean! I think its just about getting away because it was written at a stressful time in my life and I just wanted to be somewhere else.

How did you approach writing this song?

I just sat in my bedroom messing around on the guitar and it just came to me. I haven’t changed any of the parts in the song since I wrote it, it all just came naturally.

Do you have a favourite line/section of the song?

‘Times change, but the world can stay the same for me’. I think that line says how I was feeling at the time, because there were a lot of changes and I didn’t know how to cope with it.

Can you describe your sound in three words?

Folk, Singer/Songwriter, Vintage.

How do you feel your sound has developed from studying at BIMM?

I have met loads of musicians who are all brilliant in their own genres, which is making me experiment and look at songwriting in a different way.

What’s the best thing about studying at BIMM?

The best part is that we get taught by people who work in the industry and everyone is so supportive which is really encouraging.
