What was the inspiration behind your track?

We wanted to do something different than what we usually do while playing live. We wanted to capture the warmth and welcoming atmosphere that exhales from the band; we took inspiration from the MTV unplugged and the Tiny desk sessions mostly.

What did your process involve?

The entire process took us about 6 months. It started with creating new arrangements for the songs that would suit the mood of the video.  The songs were previously released on our EP « Diego Philips & the Pretty Boys » except for A-song, so we had to strip them down. Then we had to gather a team around us to manage the project, we picked people that have been around us for the past year and the project started to take shape. After rehearsing for a bit and trying different formulas we were ready to shoot. We gathered an audience in a warehouse in Chelsea and filmed everything with four different cameras. Everything you see is one take.

Is there a specific line that stands out in the song, and why?

The first song « Where Did You Go? » includes the line, ‘Are we doomed?  Ask the dust if we are doomed’.

Can you describe your sound in three words?

Warm, welcoming, honest

What’s the best thing about studying at BIMM?

We all met at BIMM and most of the audience is from BIMM.  They are our friends and family and we made strong bonds over the years. So I guess that’s the best about BIMM, meeting people with the same aspirations as you and building things all together.
