What was the inspiration/is there a story behind your track?
The track draws inspiration from a Tom Hanks Classic, Big. Santino out bassist was watching the film when writing the track.
How did you approach writing this song?
For this track, it started off with the guitar chorus and lyrics. Then each member puts their touch to it. We’ll record it on Sam’s phone and let it sit for a week until our next rehearsal, which is where we finish the track with more idea’s.
Do you have a favourite line/section of the song?
Definitely the end of the second chorus going into the bridge! We love how it breaks down to Sam singing on his own and then everyone coming in for the bridge.
Can you describe your sound in three words?
Reverb, shoegaze, emoesque.
How do you feel your sound has developed from studying at BIMM?
It has gotten heavier since starting the band in first year. We started off quite light, but with the investment of about a zillion pedals it’s become darker & angrier.
What’s the best thing about studying at BIMM?
The ability to meet peers who have also ended up in the industry. The business course was amazing, as it gave us a insight on how to be a DIY band.
