Who are you listening to at the moment?
I am currently listening to; Queens of the Stone Age, We were promised Jet Packs, Nina Samone, Albert King jr and many other indie, rock, jazz and blues artists. As well as new Manchester bands.
What do you love about Manchester?
What I love about Manchester is it’s rich history of music with The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, Oasis, The Haçienda club, The Ritz, The Apollo, Band on the Wall. I love all that many people in Manchester remember how the music scene used to be and how it is now. Aside from the music Manchester has many beautiful buildings from the Victorian and Elizabethian period, including the Palace Hotel and The Palace Theatre. Plus there are so many venues that host music events every night of the week which makes Manchester a great place to experience, play and work in the music industry.
Why Music Production?
I chose Music Production as I felt it was the right step forward after gaining experience doing live sound engineering and small bits of studio work. I thought my course looked interesting as it covers several different modules preparing you for the music industry.
