What do you love about Bristol
I came to Bristol for the first time to attend an open day at BIMM and instantly felt at home and welcomed in the city. I love the music scene obviously, but the city feels like a giant village in that there is (usually) a good sense of community spirit/friendliness and everybody seems to know everybody. Bristol is a melting pot of different creative industries that blend together and crossover and it feels like a place where you can be who or what you want to be and there is a place for you.
Why Music Business?
I’ve always played instruments (guitar, flute, piano etc.) and loved music but totally gave up on it being a career choice during college. 4 years after college I was managing a restaurant in my hometown of Southampton and hating every moment of it, so I took my love of music and management skills and wanted to try and combine them. BIMM Bristol was the only campus offering Music Industry Management (now Music Business) and I had the exact amount of UCAS points for the course. Kind of felt like it was the perfect thing for me, so I jumped at the chance and haven’t looked back since.
