Who are you listening to at the moment?

I’m currently listening to a band called Black Peaks. I discovered them at 2000 Trees Festival 2018, where I was working as Artist Liaison for the BIMM Forest Session Stage. On a break, I went and saw them at the Cave stage and was pleasantly surprised with their heavy sound and how the lead singer was able to carry his screams so high. You can really fall in love with a band from seeing them live.

What do you love about Brighton?

Brighton is such a fun and inspiring place to be. Whatever day of the week it is, there is always something going on; with so many music venues situated about town and a number of serious promoters, it isn’t hard for you to make your mark on the Brighton music scene. Brighton is also home to The Great Escape Festival, which is always an exciting event to be around, as its full of fresh upcoming artists and the chance to make real connections with music executives across the world.

Why Music Business?

I chose Music Business because I liked how the course offers you an all-round knowledge of the music industry. There are also so many career paths you can go down. Whilst Music Business looks theory-based, you are able to learn kinetically, learning about the Live Stage and looking at Production. There are also endless opportunities selected by the Careers Team to allow you to gain a lot of experience whilst you’re studying.

Join us in Brighton, and turn your passion for music into your career. Find out more here.
