We caught up with Stacy to find out all about her favourite things to do in Berlin.

IF YOUR FRIENDS WERE VISITING BERLIN FOR ONE WEEKEND ONLY, WHERE WOULD YOU TELL THEM TO GO?

In summer, definitely Badeschiff. It’s a great spot to soak up some sun and swim with views of the River Spree. For bars I would say head to the RAW area and hit the beer gardens. In winter, Fitcher’s Vogel and Kirk Bar are great. I’m definitely a Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg girl though – it reminds me somewhat of Bristol, where I spent eight years before moving to Berlin.

WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT IN BERLIN?

I’ve developed a love for Vietnamese cuisine since moving to Berlin. There are so many great places to choose from. One of my favourites is 1990 in Friedrichshain. Tapas-style Vietnamese dishes are great to share with friends. There’s also Mammam on Gabriel Max Strasse for cheaper eats. Make sure you try a Vietnamese espresso – they’re so good!

Also, for one of the best pizzas around, you have to try Salami Social Club on Frankfurter Allee. On Thursdays, they have €1 slice night and their toppings are always super creative. My favourite is the pumpkin pizza.

WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO LISTEN TO MUSIC IN BERLIN?

That’s a very difficult question. I much prefer smaller venues these days. One of my favourites is Schokoladen in Mitte. I also love all the pop-up style concerts in quirky locations around Berlin.

WHAT MAKES BERLIN SO DIFFERENT FROM WHERE YOU’RE ORIGINALLY FROM?

Well, I’m originally from South Wales but moved to Berlin from Bristol. I really miss the ocean views of my hometown, but Berlin has beautiful lakes and countryside where you can forget about the bustling city. The nightlife in Berlin is very different to home – there’s always something on, no matter the season or time of day!
