Having originally studied a BA Hons in Professional Musicianship, vocalist Jade Foster has since found work within the competitive world of PR. Since graduating, she’s landed herself a role as a Junior Executive at Dawbell, one of the most respectable companies in the business.

Dawbell work with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Paul McCartney, Take That, Rihanna, Iggy Pop, Celine Dion, Pharrell Williams and Beck, securing them cover stories with magazines such as Vogue, GQ and Esquire.

Here’s what Jade had to say on her full time role at the company so far.

“I am a Junior PR Exec’, so my daily goal is to get clients’ publicity in print publications. I do regional press for The Kooks, Maximo Park, Take That and Craig David and I also get the opportunity to work on new artists who are starting out and building their profile.”

Jade’s favourite work moment so far was being introduced to joint managing directors Rich Dawes and Stuart Bell for the first time whilst they were dressed as Darth Vader and a Lion (it was the staff Halloween party on her first day at the company). It’s good to hear they know how to balance fun with a strong work ethic, as it’s exactly this trait which helped Jade secure the position in the first place.

“Networking was everything. I took on as much work experience as I could whilst at BIMM, I worked with JuiceFM radio in Brighton, with Phil Nelson’s management company and then Communion Music. I’ll always be grateful to the BIMM tutors who helped and inspired me get into the music industry!”

We couldn’t be more proud of Jade’s success story and look forward to watching her promising career as it progresses.
