With the first official term of BIMM Birmingham now in full-swing, we’ve rounded up some tasty student discount deals to save you freshers some of that precious cash on instruments, accessories, rehearsals and recordings!

Professional Music Technology is one of the most impressive music retailers in the entire country. And you lot are lucky enough to have it practically on your doorstep! What’s more, they’re offering a special BIMM discount available instore with a student card. So, whether it’s drums, guitars, amps, P.A equipment, microphones or accessories you’re after, these guys have you covered and then some!

Shades Music

Shades is a tuition and instrument repair centre based at 214-218 Ancestor Road. They sell beginner and intermediate instruments as well as accessories such as guitar picks, stands reeds and strings. They’re open from 2pm – 7.30pm Monday – Friday and 9:30am until 6pm on Saturdays. Currently, they’re offering 10% student discount on everything in store (excluding books).

And if you’re looking for a bit of extra tuition on the side, they even offer every fourth session for free with block bookings!
