Just in case you needed a little afternoon encouragement, we have been on chatting with students past and present to give you guys a little love and assistance on your musical journeys.

Here is Lily Wolter talking about how BIMM has helped her…

What difference has BIMM made to your musical career?
So far BIMM has introduced me to my band mates who I wouldn’t of met otherwise… and very much got me involved in the Brighton music scene. I have also had the chance to do some session work on my saxophone through the help of BIMM.

What inspires you to write/play music?
Anything can inspire writing music. I write songs about loads of different things, hard to put a pin on it. I love playing live because it’s what I feel I do best… and playing with my brother/good pals on stage is the best feeling ever, especially in front of a crowd that’s really into our sound. But yeah.. Inspiration is everywhere I think!

Do you have any advice for new and future students?
Get an original sound and keep working hard! Don’t stay in your room doing nothing all year- meet good musicians, write lots, be creative and work hard! It’ll be worth it… That’s what I hope anyway!

#BIMMspo is everywhere!
