What was the inspiration/is there a story behind your track?

It’s about a friend of a friend, who is totally in the friend zone! I always write songs about my friends and this story really got to me and I had to write it!

How did you write this song?

I wrote it in stages and it kept on changing. It started out as rather a mellow track, but once I started arranging it with my band it came out as a pop/dance track. I’m never too sure how my music is going to end up. I think that’s the most exciting bit for me…

Do you have a favourite line/section of the song?

The bridge!
‘Stop searching so far, love can be right where you are…’
It’s totally the point of the song. When something’s right in front of your face but you’re oblivious. I hope people understand this.

Can you describe your sound in three words?

Pop/Singer-Songwriter, Soft-Rock?

How do you feel your sound has developed from studying at BIMM?

Oh wow… So much! I’ve gone from Country to Rock, to commercial Pop music. I really feel I’ve crafted my sound at BIMM.

What’s the best thing about studying at BIMM?

I think the genuine connection of meeting like minded people. I’ve made some long-term friends at BIMM all through music. It’s a great place to just network and make friends and develop your sound!
